M. Process Central Model to Send to Clients

- Process Central Model to Send to Clients
- Ensure all Team Members have synchronized and closed out of each Local File before continuing.
- Open Revit. Navigate to R > Open > Project.
- Go to the folder “.\11 Drawings\Revit\Central\”.
- Select the Æ Central Model.
- Ensure that Detach from Central is checked.
- Click Open.
- Select Detach and preserve worksets when prompted by the Detach Model from Central dialog box.
- Go to the Ribbon > Insert > Manage Links > Manage Link dialog box.
- Check each tab for associated files and remove them from the project.
- Delete all Revit links by selecting each Revit file and clicking the Remove button. If a coordination monitor alert dialog box initiates, select OK.
- Delete all IFC links by selecting each IFC file and clicking the Remove button. If a coordination monitor alert dialog box initiates, select OK.
- Delete all CAD Format links by selecting each CAD Format file and clicking the Remove button. If a coordination monitor alert dialog box initiates, select OK.
- Delete all DWF Markup links by selecting each DWF Markup file and clicking the Remove button. If a coordination monitor alert dialog box initiates, select OK.
- Delete all Point Cloud links by selecting each Point Cloud file and clicking the Remove button. If a coordination monitor alert dialog box initiates, select OK.
- Click OK.
- In the Project Browser:
- Wrap up all categories.
- Open the view labeled Æ-MEP, with the applied view template of Æ 3D View.
- Go to the Ribbon > Manage > Purge Unused > Purge Unused dialog box.
- Click Check All.
- Click OK.
- Repeat sections M.6.a and M.6.b as many times as is necessary until the Number of items checked equals zero (0).
- Go to R > Save As > Project.
- Navigate to “.\11 Drawings\Documents Sent\20XX-XX-XX Revit Model Upload\”.
- Use the same file name as the Central Model, but remove any reference to Central from the filename.
- Click Options and edit Maximum backups field to a value of (1).
- Check Make this a Central Model after save.
- Check Compact File.
- Select Synchronize and Modify Settings from the Ribbon.
- Check the Compact Central Model (slow) option and click OK.
- Close the file.
