Aethera Engineers is a metrics based organization that seeks harmony between people and profits, with progression, engagement, and connection at our core. We began as an ethereal idea, not unlike how our clients conceive of buildings, bringing change to their environments for the betterment of those around them. At æ, we believe there is a better way to do business, which puts the client first and fosters meaningful development. This culminates in true ownership and commitment to delivering results.

Progression. A foundational aspect of the engineering profession is one of development, honing your skill set and knowledge base in your particular area of expertise. Every employee at Aethera Engineers has a tailored professional development program suited to their strengths and career goals. We all start by completing a CliftonStrengths assessment during the hiring process. During the first week of employment, we take an introductory course in Lean Six Sigma. By the ninety day mark, passage of the LEED Green Associate exam is essential. These milestones ensure a baseline comprehension of efficient and sustainable business practices. 

Engagement. After celebrating these achievements, we develop a customized plan that aligns the desires of our employees with those of our organization. This helps to drive fulfillment and clarity, with defined expectations. Thus, we improve productivity and quality of life for those we work with on a daily basis. Each person at Aethera Engineers is an important part of the design process and is integral in the delivery of our services.

Connection. Relationships are paramount. We put our customers first, because without them, we wouldn’t be in business. We do what we say, because it matters that people follow through. At æ, we value in-depth conversations that get to the essence of design, so our clients get the buildings they want, in a timely fashion. We care about their mission and how their built environment will allow them to fulfill a call to action.

Ownership. Aethera Engineers, LLC is a Texas-based Limited Liability Company that has elected S-Corporation status for tax purposes. That’s legalese for saying all owners are treated the same and we have fewer than one hundred of them. We offer motivated, tenured employees the option to own a part of the business they help create. This encourages true ownership of everyday tasks and incentivizes our workforce to do what’s best for the company, because it’s mutually beneficial for them to do so. People with large ownership stakes slowly transition out while newer faces join in to infuse innovative ideas and further our purpose. Aethera Engineers is poised to think about long term benefits, rather than short term results. 

Results. At æ, our focus is establishing parameters upfront, so that the design process progresses smoothly. This allows us to be more responsive when unforeseen issues arise or funding becomes more stringent. We build in feedback loops so that we learn from challenges we have faced. Proper planning and project management is vital to realized stress reduction and on-time delivery.
